The short version
We don't sell your data. We don't store your prompts permanently. We don't track your browsing.
TuneAI is built on a zero-storage philosophy — your content is processed and returned, never kept.
What we collect
When you use TuneAI, the following data is processed:
- Prompt text — the content you type into the extension for enhancement. This is sent
to our server, processed, and returned. It is not permanently stored.
- Mode preferences — which enhancement mode you select (Deep Enhance, Agent,
Consistency, etc.) to provide the right processing.
- Session identifiers — temporary IDs to maintain conversation context. These expire
after inactivity.
- Account info — if you sign up, we store your email and authentication token to
manage your subscription.
What we don't collect
- Browsing history or activity outside the extension
- Keystrokes or screen content
- Location data
- Financial information (payments are handled by third-party processors)
- Data from other tabs or applications
How your data is used
Your prompt text is processed solely to provide the enhancement service. We use it to:
- Analyze intent and complexity of your input
- Generate an enhanced, structured version of your prompt
- Maintain context within a single conversation session
We do not use your prompts for training AI models, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering the
TuneAI service to you.
Security
All data transmitted between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Session data is
temporary and automatically cleared. We follow security best practices including input sanitization,
rate limiting, and authentication validation.
Third parties
Your prompts are processed through AI providers (such as OpenRouter) to perform enhancement. These
providers process data under their own privacy policies but do not receive your personal identity
information.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Your control
- Uninstall the extension at any time to stop all data processing
- Clear local storage via your browser settings
- Delete your account by contacting support@tuneai.dev
Updates
If we make changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we may
notify users through the extension or email.
